Antique French Sarreguemines set of four “talking plates” featuring regional figures and scenes from Brittany and western France. Each plate has a different illustrated vignette with a French caption, framed by a decorative red, blue and ochre border.
A beautiful set for a plate wall, open shelving or French country-inspired display. The regional dress and scenes give these a wonderful Breton folk feel while the overall crazing and age wear add to their antique character.
Each measures approximately 8” diameter.
Antique condition with visible crazing, discoloration and wear consistent with age. One plate has a small chip on the back. Please review photos closely for condition.
